18th Birthday
Being eighteen years old marks the start of legality, maturity, womanhood, and independence. Looking back, I was a happy-go-lucky teenager who barely care about the world. Young, fearless and reckless are the perfect words that described me as a growing teen. I did a lot of crazy, bad, and happy things, but those bad days were the best memories I had because it helped me grow to maturity. I can't even believe that I'm in a legal age already as if it was just yesterday when I first wore makeup, bought a pair of skinny jeans, lost a 20 pounds, and topped my high school class. But now, I have 2 years left in my teenage stage and it's a must that I make the best out of it, but this time. Young, fearless and reckless but with responsibility is my new identity.
Before I start this very long birthday post, I would love to thank everyone who put effort just to make me happy. The balloons, flowers, gifts and cakes are more than enough to express your love to me. I just wanted a simple celebration, no ball gowns, no programs, no grand parties, just plain memories with good company. But my family really exceeded my plain expectations. No words can express how happy I am to be surrounded by good people
On my birthday, I woke up really early to watch the sunrise while having my morning coffee. After that, I immediately took a shower and asked my mom to do my makeup. I always loved the natural, simple but classy style my mom always do for me.
After that, I headed to school to take my last final exams which are Political Science and Theology. Almost everyone I met greeted me which boosted my mood more. It was a very perfect day since my birthday is also the last day of the semester and my exams on that day were the easiest.
After school, I got really hungry because I did not eat breakfast so my boyfriend, Gerald, and I grabbed a heavy pizza, pasta and soup lunch at Pizza Hut.
It was raining really hard when we were in the mall so I switched from heels to flat sandals. I took my girls out for a snack since my family prepared a dinner at a restaurant. It was the perfect time to catch up with each other since we haven't been together for months. After the long chill and talks, we went to Mr. Ching's Cuisine for dinner.
Here's my birthday OOTD. I already switched to sandals because it rained really hard. Comfort over style!
My dearest cousins
My crazy friends again
My main family ♥
All in all, my birthday was one of the best days of my life. It was pretty simple but I know after this, I'm going to hold more financial and academic responsibility. I'm expected to finish my studies in two years and after that, I'm faced with the real world just like my sister. I'm actually getting a little taste of what the real world's like ever since I started investing for stocks and putting 30% of my money for future investments. As of now, I better enjoy my teenage years while I still have the chance. Like every adult says "You're only young once"
